About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary/secondary school in Sheffield.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified TA to play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will work closely with class teachers to support pupils’ academic progress, social development, and emotional wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons

• Leading small group interventions and targeted support sessions

• Providing 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs (including SEND where required)

• Assisting with planning and preparation of classroom resources

• Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff

• Promoting positive behaviour in line with the school’s behaviour policy

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

• Previous experience working in a school setting

• Strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND (desirable)

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
