Maths Graduate

Have you recently graduated from university with a Maths related degree? Or, do you come from a Maths background and are now looking to utilise your skills within a Secondary school environment?

If so, Teaching Personnel have an exciting opportunity for you to join a well respected secondary school in Wigan on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will secure employment on a temporary basis and are likely to secure

Maths Graduate Position;

  • Full-time Maths Graduate position
  • Required ASAP with employment on a 12 month temporary basis
  • Providing support to the schools Maths department
  • Supportive Secondary school that will provide you with the skills required to complete a teacher training programme in the future.
  • Must hold an Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one

This exciting position is open exclusively for Maths graduates that are in pursuit of a career in Secondary education, you will be working within a supportive Secondary school that are committed to your future development as a Maths specialist.

Responsibilities for this role;

  • Teaching Assistant duties in various lessons
  • Maths catch up sessions to raise attainment for identified students.
  • Covering Maths lessons in the absence of the main classroom teacher.

The Head of Maths aims to appoint for this role prior to the October Half-term. Interested candidates are urged to apply at the earliest convenience for consideration.

In the most recent Ofsted report, the behaviour of the pupils was highlighted as good with them showing high levels of respect towards all staff. Further it complimented the Senior Leadership as having a clear ambition as to how to take the school forward and achieve even greater success year on year.

The school is located a short drive away from Warrington town centre making it an ideal location for those who live in the surrounding areas as Liverpool and Wigan are easily accessible from the nearby motorways.
