Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? We’re excited to be working in partnership with a Special Educational Needs School in the Tredegar area that is currently seeking both full-time and part-time Learning Support Assistants to join their supportive team.

About the School
The school provides education and care for pupils aged 3–19 with a variety of Additional Learning Needs (ALN). Their mission is to create an inclusive, child-centred environment where every learner is given the tools and encouragement to achieve their full potential.

With small class sizes (no more than 10 pupils) and strong staffing ratios, each class is led by a qualified teacher and supported by a dedicated team of Learning Support Assistants. The school places a strong emphasis on confidence, independence, and enjoyment of learning through personalised, practical, and sensory-based experiences.

The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting both the academic and personal development of pupils. Working alongside teachers and therapists, you’ll help deliver engaging activities and use individual development plans to guide your support.

You’ll build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and contribute to a nurturing environment where learners feel safe, supported, and motivated to progress. Full training will be provided by both Teaching Personnel and the school to prepare you for success in the role.

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (we can help you apply if not yet in place)

• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) – support available if needed

• Availability to work in Tredegar from 8:30am–3:30pm

• Two professional references

• A positive attitude, flexibility, and enthusiasm for helping young people

• Willingness to learn and adapt in a SEN/alternative education environment
