The school is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their Year 2 team and help pupils thrive both academically and personally.

‍The Role & Responsibilities

• Support pupils with their learning in class, in small groups, and on a one-to-one basis

• Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering engaging lessons

• Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour in pupils

• Provide targeted support for children with additional learning needs (ALN) where required

• Help to create a safe, caring, and stimulating classroom environment

• Contribute to the wider school community, supporting school values and routines

✅ Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Patient, caring, and reliable

• Passionate about inclusion and early education

• Experienced in a classroom setting (Level 2 or 3 qualification desirable)

• Familiar with the EYFS curriculum and early learning methods

• Able to adapt to different needs and learning styles

• Experienced with ALN (personal or professional experience valued)

Requirements

• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

• References covering the last 24 months

• Prior classroom or childcare experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
