Two Form entry Community School in Manchester require a general Teaching Assistant for Year 4 from February till the end of the academic year.

General Teaching Assistant Role with small group intervention built in.

Two for entry school graded Outstanding by OFSTED

Outstanding behaviour from the pupils and a strong team of practitioners to become a part of.

Teaching Personnel is currently working on behalf of a two form entry Community Primary School in Manchester (M9) to find a General Teaching Assistant for their current Year 4 class. The reason behind this vacancy is a maternity leave and will be full time from February and carry on up until the end of the summer term with the potential of it carrying on into the next academic year.

The characteristics of the role will be to support the Teacher on a daily basis but also to be confident and enthusiastic in taking small intervention groups for Numeracy and Literacy. These groups will be mainly lower ability pupils who need help in raising attainment in those core subjects.

The school in their most recent OFSTED was graded Outstanding and stood out in particular for the behaviour of pupils and the leadership within the school. Pupils are said to be caring and well mannered in class and throughout the school and older pupils are said to help staff on a regular basis with supporting and observing younger years in the dinner hall and around school.

The school are looking for either a confident recent graduate or someone with a keen interest in education who is looking to come in to a friendly and welcoming school. Enthusiasm and a clear passion to help children raise attainment will be the ideal characteristics of the person who is to be successful.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
