Teaching Personnel is seeking graduates of Maths and Science in Sunderland and surrounding areas for tuition. If you are a graduate who is looking for flexibility around other commitments or have been out of the classroom and wish to ease yourself back in, this may be the ideal opportunity for you.

In the lead up to GCSE, schools are looking to boost the attainment of students where possible. Particularly students who are disadvantaged by factors such as learning difficulties or other circumstances will be in need of additional support during preparation for assessments. However, there is also scope to work with high-attaining students who may require an additional challenge outside of lessons.

As a tutor, you can expect your role to entail the following:

• 1:1 and small group work supporting students who are experiencing difficulty with their Maths/Science studies
• Delivering intervention based on curriculum modules, planning and preparing resources based on the needs of the students you interact with
• Tracking the progress of individual students to report back to the department
