Does flexible working hours interest you?

TP Tutors (Part of Teaching Personnel) are currently seeking for a Maths, English or Science Tutor to join our hard-working team to deliver these subjects to students between the ages of 11- 18 on a 1:1 basis.

You will be working in various locations across the Northamptonshire area including community centres, libraries, schools, and care homes, so access to your own vehicle is mandatory.

What do we look for?

  • We are looking for a tutor who holds experience in delivering work across Key Stage 3 and 4. Most of the pupils will be working at their expected levels however some pupils may be working at lower levels and therefore knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum is desirable.
  • The right candidate will have experience in challenging behaviour and SEN, as some pupils may not be willing to engage. Tutor reports will be completed on a weekly basis for each pupil. Most pupils will be given around 4-15 hours of learning each week during the hours of 9am- 3pm.
  • You will also need to have an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered with the update service, (Or Willing to apply for one through ourselves) and eligible to work in the UK (right to work in the UK documentation).

Regardless of your availability, we would like to hear from you as we have both part time and full-time hours available, as we work with several virtual schools across the local authority so many opportunities are available.

You could earn between £20 to £25 per hour depending on experience. Most new referrals will now commence in the new academic year, however we still do have new referrals available so please get in touch for more information.

We have a ‘Refer a friend’ scheme, where you can earn £50 by nominating your fellow colleagues/friends for work. If you would like more information on this scheme please get in touch. Do not worry if you are registered with another agency as you can be multi-registered.

If you are interested please apply with your most up to date CV.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
