Tutors (EAL) - required immediately - Manchester

Manchester LEA are looking to recruit ESOL Tutors who are able to start as soon as possible. These positions are part time positions which commence as soon as possible and will run until the end of the academic year (July 2019).

These positions will involve working on a 1:1 basis tuition is for pupils who are being educated outside of Mainstream. They could be being educated outside of mainstream for a variety of reasons including: pregnancy, LAC pupils, SEMH needs or extreme challenging behaviour. In order to be considered for the role you need to be either be a Fully Qualified Teacher or have significant tutoring experience.

These particular roles will involve working on a 1:1 basis with pupils who have EAL. It would be ideal for Tutors to have experience working with pupils with EAL and or an TEFL certificate. Please note that the above qualifications are not essential just preferable.

You will need to have the appropriate skills needed to build effective working relationships with pupils in order to engage them and support them in achieving the best possible outcomes.

In order to be considered for the positions you will need:

- Fully Qualified Teacher Status or significant tutoring experience

- An in depth subject knowledge across GCSE subjects

- The ability to build strong relationships with pupils

- An understanding of how to cater for pupils with EAL
