Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Southampton Area

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work within mainstream primary schools across the Southampton area.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and feel confident providing 1:1 support. You will play a key role in helping pupils access learning, build confidence, and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support for pupils with SEN

• Work with children across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2)

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons within a mainstream primary setting

• Foster a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

• Experience working with SEN children

• Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills

• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

• Flexible and proactive approach to supporting learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
