Tutor Roles - Luton

Date posted : 11/06/19
£20 - £25 per hour

Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

Teaching Personnel are working closely with Luton Virtual School and the Alternative Learning & Progression Team to help them provide one-on-one educational assistance to primary and secondary school students that do not attend school full time due to a medical need or Special Educational Need.

You will be working with vulnerable pupils with Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties that find it difficult to access all mainstream activities. By offering these early interventions for pupils with challenging behaviour, the risk of exclusion is decreased. As behaviours improve, the pupil is more likely to succeed in Mainstream, and is less likely to become NEET. (Not in Education, Employment or Training).

Tuition usually takes place at a students home, and you will be expected to plan and prepare engaging and interactive lesson plans tailored to each student you work with. You will also be required to monitor the child's progress until the placement has ended and the child secures a school place.

It is essential that you are able to manage any behaviour in a calming way. In return, Teaching Personnel offers you:

- Excellent rates of pay (£20-£25 per hour)

- Continual Professional Development Courses

- Your own dedicated Recruitment Consultant

- Constant tuition work available

With tuition, you are in charge of your own schedule and can take on as many or as few referrals as you can manage. The time and day at which you provide the tuition is almost always decided by the tutor so you are able to be completely flexible in the work you do.

For more information about our tuition service and how we can help you take the next steps in private tuition, call me today on 01604 521215 to discuss your options. I am currently inundated with referrals for students needing a tutor, could you help?
