Tutor

This vacancy has now expired.

Job description

Are you a Teacher looking for a flexible working role for a few hours per day?

The Role

Teaching Personnel work closely with local authorities and councils to provide Core subject tuition to children with additional needs.
The students currently do not have a place in mainstream education due to a number of reasons such as social, emotional and mental health needs, Autism or EAL (English as an Additional Language.)
You will be expected to deliver a set scheme of work delivered on a daily basis (Mon-Fri) and manage their behaviour in an appropriate manner.
Tutors are expected to travel to the site of tuition which may either be the students residency (supervised) or within a local community building. Tuition usually lasts up to 2 hours per day, but can vary depending on the needs of the student.

The hourly rate of tuition is £20.

Please be aware, all Tutors MUST have an enhanced child only DBS which is registered to the update service, or be willing to obtain one through Teaching Personnel.

This opportunity is perfect for Teachers with a busy schedule, who want to remain in Education but struggle to work school hours. You can expect this role to be challenging in some areas but very rewarding as 1:1 tuition allows for more focus on individual progression.

If you feel this role perfectly fits your need, please send your CV and cover letter detailing your experience.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
