Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support
Mainstream Primary School – Christchurch
Start Date: After the Easter Holidays
Full Time | Long Term Opportunity

Are you an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding full-time role?

One of our lovely and welcoming mainstream primary schools in Christchurch is seeking a dedicated SEN TA to work on a 1:1 basis with a child who requires additional support. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a supportive and nurturing school environment.

The Role:

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday

  • Working 1:1 with a child with Special Educational Needs

  • Providing tailored academic and emotional support

  • Collaborating closely with the class teacher and SENCO

  • Creating a positive, inclusive and engaging learning experience

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have previous experience supporting children with SEN (essential)

  • Be patient, resilient and nurturing in their approach

  • Be confident adapting learning to meet individual needs

  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Be committed to supporting the child’s development and wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
