SEN Support Staff – Mainstream Primary Schools Across Dorset
Full Time & Part Time Opportunities Available

Are you a caring, committed and passionate Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in children’s lives?

We are working with a range of welcoming and supportive mainstream primary schools across the Dorset region who are seeking dedicated SEN Support Staff to join their teams. These roles offer flexibility, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available to suit your availability.

About the Role:

As an SEN Support Staff member, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs

  • Support children with a range of SEN including ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs, and social/emotional difficulties

  • Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement tailored support plans

  • Help create a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment

  • Encourage independence, confidence and engagement in learning

We Are Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN (school-based experience desirable)

  • A patient, empathetic and resilient approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential

  • Reliability and commitment to your role

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
