Location: Birmingham
Pay: £85–£95 per day | Full-Time | Immediate Start Available

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with additional learning, communication, and emotional needs. Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will help create a structured, safe, and encouraging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support

  • Supporting pupils with classroom activities and daily routines

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and social development

  • Assisting with lesson delivery and classroom organisation

  • Promoting an inclusive and nurturing learning environment


Who We’re Looking For

We welcome applications from individuals with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs. Previous experience is beneficial but not essential, as full support and guidance will be provided.

You will ideally be:

  • Patient, caring, and empathetic

  • Confident supporting children with additional needs

  • Reliable and committed

  • A strong team player

  • Able to build positive relationships with children and vulnerable young people


What We Offer

  • Weekly Pay: £85–£95 per day

  • Full-Time Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Experience working with children is advantageous but not required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
