Tutor

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a range of tutors across the Rochdale area to provide 1:1 tuition for children at risk of exclusion and/or with Special Education Needs, along with those who are looked after.

We work very closely with the Secondary schools and Rochdale authority to provide tuition to students that are unable to attend mainstream education full time. Ideally, the tutors will have previous experience working with children with additional and complex needs but this is not essential.

- Earn £15 to £25 per hour, dependant on qualifications and experience

- Regular and consistent tuition work available around your own schedule

- Access Teaching Personnel's CPD academy whilst working as a tutor

- Work across the Rochdale borough supporting secondary aged students

Tuition usually takes place at a students' home or a public space such as library, and as the designated tutor for the child you will be responsible for planning and preparing engaging lessons tailored to every student individually. You will monitor and track the progress of the student whilst relaying this to the designated member of school staff, with the aim of raising attainment and promoting academic achievement.

Due to the nature of tuition, you are in charge of your own schedule and can take on as many referrals as you can fit in your schedule though the duration of each assignment could vary dependant on outcomes of the student.
