Job Title: English and Maths KS3 SEN Outreach Tutor

Job Duties:

The English and Maths KS3 SEN Outreach Tutor will be responsible for providing tailored support to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs. Duties include developing individualised learning plans, delivering engaging lessons in English and Maths, monitoring progress, and adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.

Required Qualifications:

A recognised teaching qualification in the UK, experience working with students with SEN, and a thorough understanding of the Key Stage 3 curriculum for English and Maths.

Education:

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.

Experience:

Previous experience working as a tutor or teacher with SEN students in a school or educational setting.

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong knowledge of SEN teaching strategies, excellent communication skills, ability to create engaging lesson plans, and proficiency in assessing student progress.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional qualifications in Special Educational Needs or relevant postgraduate study would be advantageous.

Working Conditions:

This role will involve working on a part-time basis, typically during school hours. The tutor will be required to travel to different locations to provide outreach support to students in the East of England.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
