Job description

Job Title: Tutor

Location: England, Greater London, Haringey

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour

 

Job Duties:

- Provide academic support to students in English and Maths, who are in secondary school (KS3 and KS4)

- Develop individualised lesson plans based on student needs

- Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly

- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff

- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance

 

Required Qualifications:

- A relevant degree in Education or related field

- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to tailor teaching methods to individual student needs

 

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

 

Experience:

- Minimum of 2 years of tutoring or teaching experience

 

Knowledge and Skills:

- Strong understanding of the UK education system

- Proficiency in the subjects being tutored

- Excellent time management and organisational skills

- Ability to motivate and inspire students

 

Preferred Qualifications:

- Teaching certification

- Experience working with SEN, SEMH and challenging behaviour

 

Working Conditions:

- Part-time hours, flexible schedule

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
