Teaching Personnel are looking for Intervention Specialists to work on a long term contract around the Derby area. The role itself will involve working with students who have left mainstream education and require intervention around all core subjects. Preferable the right candidate will be a qualified Teacher but we will accept individuals who have experience working with LAC students on a 1:1 basis.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) desirable but not essential if the candidate has the right experience
- Proven experience teaching 1:1
- Proven experience of teaching core subjects
- Excellent behaviour management skills
- SEN experience with SEMH, ASC or Challenging Behaviour desirable
The role:
- 1:1 intervention and tuition
- Preparation and delivery of lessons with accordance to the National Curriculum
- Liaise with support staff to develop individual education plans
- Monitoring and developing student progression
