1:1 Tutor – Flexible Daytime Role (Corby Area)

Location: Corby and surrounding areas
Hours: School hours (8:30am–3:30pm, flexible)
Contract: Part-time / Self-employed
Pay: Competitive rates (based on experience)


About the Role

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated 1:1 Tutors to support pupils across the Corby area, either in their home or within a school setting.

This role is perfect for educators who are passionate about providing personalised learning and supporting pupils who may need additional guidance to stay engaged and succeed academically.


Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, tailored 1:1 tutoring sessions
  • Support pupils across core subjects such as English and Maths
  • Build positive relationships to encourage confidence and engagement
  • Adapt lessons to suit individual learning styles and needs
  • Track progress and provide regular feedback

What We’re Looking For

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or at least 2 years’ experience teaching the UK curriculum
  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A flexible and patient approach to teaching
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working with SEN pupils
  • Background in alternative provision or 1:1 tutoring
  • Behaviour management experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
