Team Teach Trained Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel is recruiting for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants with a Team Teach qualification.

We are working with a number of SEN schools in Grimsby who are looking for experienced staff to join them at the start of this academic year.

The schools support students of secondary age with a varying degrees of SEN with the majority being Socail, EMotional and Mental Health related. You will be required to work on a small group and 1:1 basis with pupils with emotional and behavioural difficulties. This role will include occasionally supporting students who can sometimes be challenging on a physical level, therefore the schools are seeking those who are experienced, passionate and trained in Team Teach. Some pupils may have Autism therefore having experience in this area or a close personal connection to Autism would be beneficial but not essential.

Prior experience working in a PRU, secure unit, young offenders institute is desired, but applications are also welcome from those from other challenging backgrounds who might have undertaken the relevant training with a view to working with young children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
