Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking for a hard working, enthusiastic and Team Teach trained Teaching Assistant to work in a Behavioural Unit in the Rawtenstall area. The School is smaller than average and caters for KS1/2 pupils who have a range of needs including; SEMH Difficulties, Autism, ODD, ADHD and Challenging Behaviours. Some of the pupils in School are in the care system or come from quite disadvantaged backgrounds, therefore candidates must be calm, empathetic and understanding when working with the pupils.

The School is based on the outskirts of Rawtenstall, East Lancashire and School hours are 8.40am - 3.15pm Monday - Friday. The candidate must be available to work full time and be willing to become fully immersed in School life. The School are hoping to make the candidate a permanent member of staff after a probationary period, therefore, candidates must be seeking a long term role.

Candidates must have some experience working with pupils who are challenging in their behaviours and/or have special educational needs. Candidates must hold their Team Teach qualification and be confident in their de-escalation skills.

The pay for this role will be between £60 - 70 per day, dependent on experience.
