Teaching Assistant Opportunities – Wigan
Are you passionate about supporting young people in their education? We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants for full-time positions across Wigan, with immediate starts available.
This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the classroom, particularly by supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored 1:1 support and lead small-group interventions.
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons.
- Support students' academic progress, emotional wellbeing, and social development.
- Monitor and record student progress, behaviour, and achievements.
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
We're Looking For Individuals Who:
- Have a genuine passion for helping young people succeed.
- Are patient, empathetic, and resilient in their approach.
- Possess strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Are proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn.
- Live in, or can reliably commute to, Wigan and the surrounding areas.
- Have experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEN (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
