Team Teach Trained Behaviour Support Assistant

Summary: The head of a client behaviour provision based in Cardiff are looking for Team Teach Trained, Behaviour Support Assistants to work with their primary aged children 5 days a week from Monday to Friday. The pupils that attend this school can display challenging behaviour and at times be confrontational. Pay will be based on experience but will range from GBP60.00 - GBP70.00 a day. Previous experience is desired but not essential; a sports, psychology or mental health support background can all be advantageous for the role.

The School: The Behaviour Provision caters for pupils of primary age that may be diagnosed with autism or co-existing conditions including ADHD, learning difficulties, anxiety, Tourette’s syndrome, epilepsy and or challenging behaviour. Based in the heart of Cardiff, this school is easily accessible through public transport and has parking on arrival for those that drive.

The ideal Behaviour Support Assistant will be enthusiastic and show great behaviour management skills. You will be confident and not be fazed by challenging behaviour in the classroom. Resilience is key for succeeding in this role. You will be expected to work between 8:30am-3:30pm. The school is run by a successful team of supporting staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
