The successful SEN TA will be working with all year groups, supporting an Autistic student in the SEN School. Confidence and motivation is imperative within this role, with the SEN TA benefiting from being part of a highly supportive team of Teaching Assistants. Any graduates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply whether this experience comes from supporting in a school, youth work or care setting.

The school is an excellent, SEN school based in Salford. Specifically situated just outside the city centre, it is easily accessible via public transport but also a large secure on site car park for those travelling by car. The school is housed in a traditional and grandiose building.

Highlights of this SEN TA position:

  • Full time Teaching Assistant position; initially on a supply basis with the opportunity to progress onto a school based contract
  • Pay ranging between £285 - £325 per week depending on experience
  • Applications are encouraged from individuals with any relevant SEN experience: especially Autism which could be from a school or similar setting
  • Highly supportive, outstanding secondary school based in Salford

The school's SENCO oversees the support staff within this large secondary school and is keen to have the successful SEN TA start as soon as possible at the beginning of the new academic year. The school are therefore looking for an effective TA who has the ability to engage with students aged between 11 and 16 but is flexible and adaptable in their approach. The school is highly supportive of all staff and will offer the successful TA various training opportunities. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced graduate who is looking to work within the education sector.
