Teaching Assistants required in Maidenhead

Job description

We are looking for an experienced teaching assistant, to support a small group of pupils with Autism and associated learning disabilities. Ideally the school require teaching assistants with experience supporting children with Special Needs, namely in a special needs setting but it could be in a mainstream school.

The successful SEN teaching assistant should have some SEN knowledge of:

  • Autism (verbal and/or non-verbal learners)
  • PECs
  • Makaton
  • Safeguarding
  • ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) teaching principles

This school has dedicated teachers, and Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants looking to motivate pupils, helping them develop academically, socially and emotionally.

This is a full time role Monday- Friday (8.30am- 16.30pm) in Maidenhead.
