Teaching Personnel are pleased to be recruiting Teaching Assistants for an OFSTED rated 'Outstanding' school which caters for pupils aged 2-11 with Severe Learning Difficulties in the Moston area of Manchester. The ideal candidate would be:
- Experienced in working with/being around SEN
- Patient and self motivated
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
The school offers its pupils a personalised curriculum in order to bolster their academic, social and emotional skills. This is achieved through a team of subject specific teachers, high quality teaching assistants in addition to social worker, counsellors, physiotherapist, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, psychiatrist and educational psychologists. The school prides itself on providing a warm atmosphere, in which each child feels secure, understood and highly valued, so building up self-esteem and positive relationships with others.
Your role at the school would be to assist the class teacher and possibly support other TA's in the room throughout the school day. Your main duties will include helping pupils with their work, assistance in group work activities, providing an alternative environment for the pupils to work to promote the pupils progress and help them reach their full potential.
