We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming and supportive school in Royston. You’ll work closely with children who have Special Educational Needs, helping them thrive both in and out of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils with SEN in the classroom and during break/lunchtimes.
- Assisting the class teacher with day-to-day learning activities.
- Helping maintain a safe, organised, and engaging classroom environment.
- Providing individual or small-group support to pupils when needed.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and fostering an inclusive learning environment.
(Experience in schools is not essential — what matters most is your passion, reliability, and commitment to supporting young people!)
The Ideal Candidate Will
- Have previous experience working with children (experience with SEN is desirable).
- Hold a valid DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
- Show genuine enthusiasm and drive to support pupils’ development.
- Be proactive, adaptable, and able to use their own initiative.

Safer Recruitment Requirements
All applicants will be required to undergo:
- Enhanced DBS check (Update Service – support available).
- Two recent employment references (covering the last 24 months).
- Overseas Police Check (if you have lived outside the UK for 6+ months in the past 5 years).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
