Job description

About the Role:

This is a fulfilling opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with complex learning needs, including autism, communication challenges, and physical disabilities. You’ll play a key role in supporting pupils throughout their day, both in the classroom and during wider school activities, working alongside teachers and therapists.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering 1:1 and small group support for pupils with special educational needs (SEN)

  • Supporting students with personal care tasks (such as feeding and toileting)

  • Promoting independence and encouraging positive behaviour

  • Collaborating with staff, therapists, and families to ensure the best outcomes for students

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (in education, care, or support roles) NOT ESSENTIAL 

  • A patient, compassionate, and resilient attitude

  • Enhanced Child-Only DBS registered on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)

  • Full-time availability during term time (Monday to Friday)
