Job description

About the Role:

This is a fulfilling opportunity to positively impact the lives of students with complex learning needs, including autism, communication challenges, and physical disabilities. You’ll collaborate closely with teachers and therapists to support pupils throughout their daily activities, both inside and outside the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN

  • Assist in implementing tailored learning programmes

  • Promote independence and encourage positive behaviour

  • Work closely with the wider staff team and families to support pupils’ progress

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN in a school, care, or support setting (NOT ESSENTIAL)

  • Confident and comfortable providing personal care

  • A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach when working with vulnerable students

  • Enhanced Child-Only DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply

  • Available full-time, Monday to Friday during term time

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
