A specialised SEN education institution based in Blandford Forum is seeking a SEN experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team!
The Role:
You will be responsible for supporting classroom teachers in providing amazing support to pupils ages 7-19 years old, with various types of needs and difficulties such as:
- Autism
- Complex needs
- Challenging behaviour
- Learning difficulties
This institution is a school and home for children and young people diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, along with other specialised needs.
It has fantastic facilities aiding in music therapy, arts therapy, equine therapy, and more! Within this role, you will collaborate with industry professionals such as therapists, specialised teachers, and psychiatrists to foster a supportive environment to allow its students to learn and grow to the best of their ability.
Who We Are Looking For:
- SEND and SEMH experience in or out of an educational setting
- Able to collaborate with teachers and other support staff
- Excellent communication skills
- Understanding of positive behaviour support strategies
- Able to understand and implement EHCPs
Working Hours/Benefits:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
