Teaching Personnel are looking to fill an open vacancy at a primary School located in the heart of Todmorden. The school has recently been graded as GOOD. The school require a TA to provide extra support within years 3, 4 & 5 as part of the school improvement plan. The working hours will be 8:30 – 3:30, with 30 minutes dinner duty required & a 30 lunch break. This will be Monday – Friday, term time only.
This particular role will be to start, full time from February 3rd 2020. The role will be to support the class teacher and the children across a number of Key Stage 2 classes, delivering core and foundation subjects. The Head teacher has commented that a strong and bright TA will be required to work with these children to push them onto the next levels & raise attainment. There are a number of children from challenging backgrounds with a variety of social and educational needs. It is not a requirement, but the Head teacher has mentioned that an individual who has worked in an inner city primary setting would be preferred.
The school is in the heart of Todmorden. The school can be accessed by bus, train and car with good links to local transport. This is a really good opportunity for someone looking for a new challenge, or someone who is keen to undertake their first teaching assistant role.
