SEN Teaching Assistant to start in September - Secondary School

We are recruiting teaching assistants to support Secondary age pupils with Special Educational Needs.

The school is committed to empower their pupils with self-confidence, developing their ability to respect others and themselves. They are looking for a teaching assistant who believes they can support them with this and much more.

The role of a Teaching assistant in SEN:

  • Providing 1:1 support and or general classroom support to students
  • Encouraging children's confidence, self esteem and independence.
  • Supporting children in social activities and play
  • Recognising signs of distress in children and offering reassurance
  • To be able to work between the hours of 8:30-3:30/4:00, term time only

The ideal candidates/desired skills and experience:

  • Great communication skills
  • Have a nurturing approach
  • Ability to build rapport with students
  • Engaging Personality
