Teaching Assistant

Location: Birmingham (B38)

Pay: £90-105 per day

Contract: Fulltime/Term-time only

Teaching Personnel Birmingham is currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work in welcoming and supportive primary schools across Birmingham in the B38 area

If you are passionate about supporting children’s learning and development, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the classroom.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
  • Following Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) where applicable

Provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs, including SEND

  • Help promote positive behaviour in line with school policies
  • Assist in preparing classroom resources and learning materials
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers
  • Support children’s emotional wellbeing and development
  • Follow safeguarding procedures to ensure a safe learning environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children (school, childcare, youth work or similar)
  • A patient, caring and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
  • A commitment to supporting pupils of all abilities
  • Contribute to the wider school community – attend staff meeting and training
  • Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Updated service

Relevant qualifications (Level 3 Teaching Assistant) are essential for the right candidate

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
