Primary SEN Teaching Assistant – North Sheffield
Start Date: Immediate
Pay: £90–£110 per day (dependent on experience)

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are currently seeking a committed Primary SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a welcoming and supportive primary school in North Sheffield.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners who require additional support to thrive both academically and socially.

The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN (including ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs, and SEMH)

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored support plans

  • Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment

  • Support pupils’ emotional regulation and social development

  • Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to teaching staff

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN (in a school or similar setting)

  • A patient, nurturing and resilient approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential

  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
