SEN Teaching Assistant
Teaching Personnel are excited to be seeking a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant in South Liverpool. L25
With a strong interest and knowledge of Special Educational Needs (SEN), the successful applicant will be a reliable and motivated individual, who is ready to start work ASAP.
The Role
- You will be working with pupils between the ages of 5-11 years, ensuring they are engaged in lessons as well as encouraging them to take part in class activities.
- A very rewarding position, where no two days will be the same. One day you could be working with a pupil, who requires 1:1 support, the next you may be working as part of a larger class with multiple SEN pupils.
Duties will include:
- Promoting and assisting with the learning and development of the pupil(s) you are assigned
- Encouraging pupils’ confidence and independence
- Managing behaviour
- Preparing learning resources, as directed by the Teacher
As a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant you must be available to work from 8.30am until 3.30pm at least one day per week. This is a long-term position, with the possibility of becoming permanent.
