Teaching Assistant, Preston

Job description

Teaching Personnel work closely with a Preston based School who cater specifically for pupils with SEMH Difficulties and Challenging behaviours. The School are looking for a hard working Teaching Assistant to join their growing team. The School are looking for a full time member of staff with experience supporting pupils with SEMH Difficulties, Autism and/or challenging behaviours. The School is located on the outskirts of Preston with close links to public transport and plenty of on site parking. The School are hoping to appoint a long term, possibly permanent member of staff to support some additional pupils in school. 

The School is smaller than average and currently has approximately 55 pupils on roll currently. The School cater for pupils who are no longer in mainstream education for a variety of reasons and often, their behaviour is challenging. The School are hoping to appoint someone as soon as possible and ideally, the candidate will be team teach trained but this is not essential. 

The candidate will benefit from : 

- Negotiable pay rates GBP57 - 67 per day 

- Long term position available 

- Rewarding position supporting pupils with SEMH Difficulties

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
