Year 5 Teacher Position – Ashton-in-Makerfield

Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary (with potential to become permanent)
Daily Rate: £120–£200 depending on experience

A welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Ashton-in-Makerfield is seeking a strong and experienced Year 5 Teacher to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Key Stage 2 practitioner who can quickly build positive relationships, maintain high expectations, and deliver engaging lessons that support pupils in reaching their full potential.

The school is looking for a teacher who is organised, proactive, and confident in managing a Year 5 class. You will be supported by a dedicated leadership team and work alongside experienced staff within a positive and collaborative environment.

The role will involve:

• Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• Creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
• Effectively managing classroom behaviour and maintaining high expectations.
• Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to support all learners.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff.

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold QTS and have recent Key Stage 2 teaching experience.
• Be confident teaching in Year 5 and preparing pupils for upper KS2.
• Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills.
• Be reliable, adaptable, and committed to supporting pupil progress.
