Behavioural Support Teaching Assistant – Clubmoor (L13)

Start Date: April 2026
Full‑Time | Long‑Term | £14.30 per hour + (DOE)

Are you passionate about making a real difference in children’s lives? Do you have a calm, supportive nature and a desire to help pupils overcome barriers to learning?
Teaching Personnel is looking for a Behavioural Support Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and supportive school in the Clubmoor area of Liverpool this April.


The Role

As a Behavioural Support Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils who require additional social, emotional, or behavioural support.
  • Implement behaviour strategies tailored to individual needs.
  • Support the class teacher with intervention work and classroom management.
  • Help create a safe, positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Build trust and strong working relationships with pupils who may display challenging behaviours.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in education, youth work, support work, or roles involving behaviour management.


The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs.
  • Remains calm, patient, and resilient when faced with challenging situations.
  • Can build rapport quickly and provide consistent encouragement.
  • Understands or is willing to learn de‑escalation techniques.
  • Is reliable, proactive, and committed to making a positive impact.
  • Holds, or is willing to obtain, an enhanced child workforce DBS.

Transport & Location

Clubmoor offers strong transport connections across Liverpool, making it easily accessible from:

  • Liverpool City Centre (via 14, 15, 17 and 18 bus routes)
  • Kirkby, Fazakerley & Aintree
  • West Derby, Walton, Anfield & Clubmoor

Most bus routes run regularly throughout the day, making commuting straightforward even without a car.
