Teaching Personnel are searching for KS2 teaching assistant (TA) for a school based in the Manchester, M16 region. The school is looking for a TA to begin work as soon as possible to help offer support for their year 4 classes.
The school rated "good" on the last OFSTED report is looking to continue the good standards they have set and kick on to achieve greater things. The school is said to have a "broad and balanced curriculum. The wide range of activities offered to pupils often brings learning to life".
The role would require you to offer support for the lower achieving pupils in the Year 4 class by taking them out in small intervention groups for an hour at a time. The support would be in all core subjects such as reading, writing and maths as the school want to prepare the pupils in the best ways possible in order to achieve the levels of results that they are capable of. The class is said to have some slightly challenging behaviour in it but non threatening behaviour mainly just some easily distracted pupils that tend to get each other all excited. So when not in the intervention groups the role would require you to help keep the class settled so the teacher can continue teaching to the planned lesson
- Manchester, M16
