Exciting Opportunity to work in an Inclusive SEN School

The Job

Teaching Personnel are working with a client SEN School near Pickering, to appoint a flexible and highly adaptable SEN Teaching Assistant. You will be working within class sizes of 4-8 pupils, with at least one other Teaching Assistant and the Class Teacher to assist. Your job will be to support students with their academic and personal development, with lots of 1:1 and very small group work. The School day is 0830-1530/1600. You will also be expected to assist with lunchtime cover for 30 minutes each day, encouraging positive and safe play.

The School

The School is for children aged 8-16 years old, with a range of Special Needs and Disabilities, with their aim to prepare students for the challenges of the 21stCentury. They have a positive behaviour reward scheme within School and aim to include all students in lessons, social activities and learning. The School have a strong pastoral structure built on a caring philosophy which nurtures positive relationships through high expectations and supported challenge. They work holistically to develop student's resilience, mature behaviour, responsibility and independence.
