Teaching Personnel are currently seeking to recruit an outgoing and confident teaching assistant to work in a Pupil Referral Unit in Aldershot. The school caters for KS3 and KS4 pupils and emphasises the importance of sport, extra curricular and adventurous activities for their pupils so this role would ideally suit someone who has previously worked with children and has a passion for coaching and promoting a supporting and enjoyable environment. Pupils have a range of learning difficulties at the school that can include autism, aspersers, dyslexia, speech difficulties.
The ideal candidate will be very passionate and motivated to assist pupils to reach their full potential. You will be hard working, organised and hold very good communication skills. Previous experience in SEMH or challenging behaviour is desirable but not essential providing additional relevant experience. Team teach, Safeguarding, and Autism Awareness training is also desirable but not essential as training can be provided.
