The job it's self require a strong teaching assistant to support pupils in small groups and/or 1:1 support. This is a rewarding position, yet challenging. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of children with Social Emotional and Mental Health either professionally or in the home environment.
These roles are working with an individual child on a 1:1 basis supporting and guiding them through their education. These children struggle to access a full mainstream timetable so have a timetable specifically suited to their needs. A lot of their time table will be based outdoors and there having outdoor education would strengthen your application.
The school provides for a range of students with a variation of needs from KS1 to KS4. They pride themselves on their hands on approach to learning and use interactive technologies, excursions and creativity to keep their pupils engaged and focused on their learning.
To be considered for this role you must energetic with a good sense of humour to keep the pupils engaged and interested in learning. You will have the ability to utilise a range of effective approaches to the management of difficult behaviour. Additionally you must have experience of working within an educational setting.
You must be able to drive and have a DBS on the update service.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
