Graduate Teaching Assistant roles for September 2021 working with KS3/KS4 pupils in Bexley, South East London

Salary: GBP65-95 per day

This is a Graduate Teaching Assistant job based in South East London, Bexley beginning in September 2021.

We at Teaching Personnel work closely with several client schools in the Bexley area, looking for passionate Teaching Assistant Graduates to assist and support pupils with their Secondary School education.

The role would commence in September 2021 and it would ideally suit candidates who have recently graduated and want to build their experience working at a Secondary school.

You will have the opportunity to develop and interact with the Head of Department(s) and the SENCO. The teaching will range from year 7 support all the way through to GCSE with some opportunity working with A level students. You will mainly be supporting smaller groups while learning and developing as a teaching assistant.   

We are looking for an outstanding practitioner and a team player, who enjoys working with young people and has a desire to help others:

  • A passion for children's learning and development
  • High desire to raise standards
  • High aspirations for themselves and a commitment to further development
  • Desirable: experience and/or knowledge of SEN

Requirements:

  • Any subject strength/specialism (maths, science, humanities etc)
  • A relentless drive to exceed school expectations and targets
  • Strong subject knowledge
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbally)
  • Must be able to pass a DBS check
  • Proof of career history from the last 6 years minimum
  • Able to provide 3 career related references (teaching experience reference preferred, but not essential)
  • Experience teaching KS3-KS5 desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
