Are you a graduate looking to apply for your PGCE next year and would like some first hand experience?

I am working on behalf of a secondary school in the north of Nottingham who are seeking to employ an experienced Teaching Assistant with knowledge of leading a team to carry out a range of learning development, student welfare and administrative tasks to support students and teaching staff in the Academy and within the communities.

The post would also suit a graduate (or equivalent) who may be interested in pursuing a career in teaching at a future date and would like to gain some experience. Details:

Full time, 37 hours per week

Pay: GBP65 per day

Interviews startin first week back in January (w/c 04/12)

The role:

You would work under the guidance of senior leaders and teaching staff with a focus on supporting solution based behaviour management and offering mentoring support in relation to this, with some links to the schools alternative learning packages. The role will also involve leading a team of staff in planning, preparing and managing resources to support KS3/ KS4 students.

Part of the role involves supporting SEN students, so a wealth of experience working with SEN is essential. Teaching Personnel offer additonal training and CPD courses on various SEN such as autism, ADHD and PMLD should you need to upskill yourself in preparation.
