You will have a sound understanding of meeting the needs of SEN learners, including the following aims:

  • Staff are committed to providing students with a planned programme of careers education, information and guidance, enabling students to develop their skills, attitudes and knowledge.
  • Lessons are delivered on an individual basis, and in small groups, and is tailored to the needs of each student

In addition to supporting access to the curriculum, a key part of your role will include attending to the holistic needs of pupils, including support with feeding and with personal care. You may be required to implement specific programmes as directed by key therapists including Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy, and will support the medical team in attending to pupils’ specific medical needs.

You will join the team on a part-time, casual basis, ensuring flexibility to cover staff absences and availability to work at short-notice. This would be ideal for a candidate who is seeking a flexible role who has experience within the education or health care sector.

We welcome applications from experienced Teaching Assistants, Support Workers and caregivers who have previously supported individuals with additional needs.
