Job Title: 1:1 Tutor (English, Maths & Science – KS3/GCSE)

Location: Corby and surrounding areas

Salary: Up to £29 per hour

Job Type: Part-time / Flexible

TP Tutors is the specialist tuition branch of Teaching Personnel – the UK’s leading education recruitment agency. We provide bespoke 1:1 and small group tuition to young people who are currently unable to attend mainstream education.

The students we support may be out of school for a variety of reasons, including:

  • SEN (Special Educational Needs)

  • SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs)

  • Challenging behaviour

  • Being Looked After Children

  • Medical needs preventing school attendance

  • School refusal or anxiety around school environments

We are looking for kind, patient, and understanding educators to deliver 1:1 tuition to young people in the Corby area. Sessions may take place in students’ homes, local libraries, or school settings.

We are currently recruiting KS3/GCSE tutors who can support students in English, Maths, and Science.

What You Will Need To Do

  • Plan and create tailored tuition session plans and learning resources

  • Deliver bespoke 1:1 tutoring sessions based on individual learner needs

  • Deliver sessions in students’ homes, local libraries, or school settings

  • Create a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes wellbeing

  • Use EdPlace assessments to identify students’ current levels and learning gaps

  • Record sessions, monitor progress, and track attendance using our LEAP reporting platform

  • Report any safeguarding concerns to your TP Tutors consultant

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 2 years’ experience working with SEN and/or SEMH students

  • Tutors with a genuine passion for supporting young people

  • Strong understanding of neurodiverse learning needs

  • Reliable, consistent, and patient educators

  • Strong communication and organisational skills
