The Role

• Supporting pupils who need further development in social and emotional needs
• Supporting staff and identified classrooms who require support with settling for learning
• Deliver small group or one-to-one intervention
• Support identified pupils who require additional adult support in class
• Keep accurate records of intervention on pupil intervention logs
• Keeping Personal Education Plans up to date
• Support pupils at lunch time and in outdoor activities

The School

The school is a special school which caters for pupils who experience moderate learning difficulties. Pupils are admitted and leave school at any age between 5 and 16 years and all pupils attending the school have a Statement of Special Education Needs and are placed here by the Special Needs Panel of Lincolnshire County Council Children's Services Directorate.

The School has expertise in dealing with the wide variety of learning difficulties sometimes associated with medical speech, language and communication difficulties or visual issues and we have a specialist provision unit for speech language and communication. The Communication Centre has become the county provision for those youngsters who have speech, language and communication difficulties.
