Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently working with an Academy school based in Gainsborough who is looking for a Specialist Behavioural Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible. My client is a specialist provision which provides a fantastic educational platform for students who have social, emotional and mental have issues. They pride themselves on providing a care plan for every student so they receive the attention they were not able to have in mainstream education. It is a diverse role which will present different challenges every day and for the right individual if gives the fantastic opportunity for career development and progression.

The role:

• Working 1:1 or within groups who will present challenging behaviour
• Assisting the delivery of lessons with accordance to the National Curriculum
• Nurture and develop the pupils social and academic potential
• 08:30am to 15:30pm
• Ages 11 to 19

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous Teaching Assistant experience desirable
• Previous experience with severe Autism, SEMH or ADHD desirable
• Excellent behavioural management skills
• 1:1 intervention or group work
• An individual who use their initiative and hit the ground running
• Can commute to Gainsborough
• Care work experience will be considered
