Job description

Science Teacher – Full Time

Location: Fleet, Hampshire
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time
Salary: MPR / UPR (dependent on experience)
Suitable for: ECTs and experienced teachers

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a well-regarded 11–16 secondary school in Fleet to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher for a full-time role starting as soon as possible.

This is a large, inclusive community secondary school serving over 1,600 students. The school is built around strong core values of respect, integrity, aspiration, kindness and resilience, which underpin both classroom practice and student behaviour. The ethos supports high standards, positive relationships and strong personal development alongside academic success.

At its most recent inspection, the school was rated “Good” by Ofsted (December 2022). Inspectors highlighted:

GCSE outcomes have improved in recent years, and pupils are well prepared for their next steps. Staff are well supported, including clear guidance and training to help meet the needs of students with SEND.

The Science Department

Science is a well-established and popular subject within the school, with strong uptake at GCSE across Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The department benefits from:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
