Science Teacher
Full-Time | Secondary School | KS3 and KS4
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with an ambitious and rapidly improving secondary school to recruit an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teacher.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a welcoming school community that is focused on high expectations, effective teaching and positive outcomes for every student. The successful candidate will deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop their scientific knowledge, practical skills and confidence.

The Role
As a Science Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics within your areas of confidence
- Take responsibility for planning, marking and assessment
- Deliver safe and purposeful practical investigations
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Prepare students for internal assessments and GCSE examinations
- Adapt teaching for different abilities, starting points and additional needs
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, participation and achievement
- Work collaboratively with Science colleagues and pastoral teams
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental improvement
- Support the school’s wider enrichment and STEM provision
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Has strong knowledge of the secondary Science curriculum
- Can teach Science confidently across KS3 and KS4
- Demonstrates effective classroom and behaviour management
- Can explain scientific concepts clearly and accessibly
- Uses assessment effectively to support student progress
- Creates practical and engaging learning opportunities
- Adapts teaching to support SEND, disadvantaged and mixed-ability learners
- Works collaboratively and contributes positively to departmental life
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
